Why I Started Spa Haven
First off, hi. I'm Jonathan, and I'm the founder of Spa Haven - a site set up by accident that's turned from a hobby into a passion and is now a legitimate UK-based company selling some of the best home spa, recovery, and wellness products.
The Path to Change
Spa Haven stemmed from my need to help. In this case, it was my old man, who'd been looking for a bit of light relief to relieve those aches and pains that most 80-something-year-olds struggle with from time to time. I'll admit, it was a surprise to hear him mention a home sauna, but if you knew my old man, it was totally on-brand.
Navigating a world where products can cost multiple thousands can be daunting, and to say that Dad was overwhelmed was an understatement. So, I took it upon myself to do the legwork for him. Now don't get me wrong, I'm partial to getting lost down the proverbial rabbit hole - see my garage for a barely used table saw, a mint grand piano and an Ooni pizza oven that's had less use than my gym membership - so set about to find exactly what he needed and on budget.
Which is when it hit me. Most of the sites - now my competitors - aren't telling me what I need to know. Do I need traditional or infrared? How much will they cost to run? Do I need to have them professionally installed? What benefits are there to having cedar over hemlock? How long do they take to heat up? Basic questions, but missing.
I spent more hours than I ever thought I would researching, watching videos, reading articles, even emailing suppliers directly and speaking to industry experts. But eventually, I got there. Cue the Clearlight Sanctuary 1. A one-person, full-spectrum, ultra- low EMF, wooden box, essentially. But to me and you, the best sauna on the market for my dad.
And That's When it Hit Me...
At this point, I was already hooked. I started researching other products that could help him. Swim spas, jacuzzis, massage chairs, you name it. I'd become a resource for this, and I knew I could help others in the same boat.
Why Spa Haven
One thing I dread dealing with - for the most part, at least - is large corporations. If something goes wrong or I have a question, I want to pick the phone up and speak to the top dog. At worst, an email or WhatsApp to quickly connect. And this is something I've strived for with Spa Haven.
What We Are Not
We are not just another soulless corporation using sales tactics to get every last penny out of our clients. We are not a company that advertises thousands of products from hundreds of suppliers. We are not just someone throwing a website together and looking to make a quick buck with little to no care for who or what comes through their virtual doors.
What We Are...
We're a company that cares. We're a company that will pick up the phone and walk you through the products that work for you, not for us. We're small, personal and are highly knowledgeable in this sector. We handpick every product listed on our site, without compromise on quality. We care. We work differently from the big corporations, and we see it as our goal to inform, not sell. The latter, that's simply up to you.
